Manufacture’s Description:
Configured especially for the cost-conscious producer, the MM-400 offers a simple, accurate way to set camera levels before a shoot, or to check time base correctors and color fidelity
in editing. Possible troubles like hue shift, smearing, muddy contrast and loss of detail can be identified
easily for corrections.
The MM-400 converts waveform or vector display information into a standard video signal which then can be displayed on a picture monitor, or routed around a video
facility. There's no need for multiple monitors.
It also incorporates an advanced SC/H phase and color frame indicator. At a glance, the operator can tell if a signal's subcarrier-to-horizontal
phase is properly adjusted. Or see if the signal's color frame matches the house black burst connected to the MM-400's external reference input. This makes the MM-400 a must for editing
and post production applications.
Three loop-through inputs can accept three composite signals or one Betacam, MII or RGB signal.
A unique waveform parade of a
component analog signal contains all the information needed to verify
amplitudes and interchannnel timing on all three channels. Simple graticule
marks indicate correct amplitude levels of a standard color bar signal. And
an easy to understand display indicates whether the Y/B-Y and Y/R-Y timing is within predefined tolerances.
No complex displays or special test signals are required for component analog video
monitoring.
Any size video facility can use the MM-400 to monitor signal paths.
